WHO CAN PARTICIPATE IN TRYKA?

TRYKA is open to all fitness levels, from beginners to seasoned athletes. Our divisions make it accessible whether you’re new to functional fitness or aiming to compete at an elite level

WHERE DO THE RACES TAKE PLACE?

Our first-ever event takes place at the RDS, Dublin on October 11–12, 2025. TRYKA will return to Dublin for more events in 2025, before expanding across Ireland, the UK, and Europe in 2026. Stay tuned for announcements — this is just the beginning.

WHAT ARE THE DIFFERENT DIVISIONS AND WHAT IS THE RIGHT ONE FOR ME?

We offer race formats to suit every athlete:

  • Open Division (800m Runs)– For all fitness levels. A great starting point if this is your first hybrid race.
  • Pro Division – Heavier weights, faster competition. Designed for experienced athletes.
  • Relay Division – Team up with 2 or 4 athletes and share the workload.

Beginner Race (500m Runs) – Exclusive to TRYKA, shorter run intervals for newcomers.

HOW MANY AGE GROUPS ARE THERE?

TRYKA has multiple age groups spanning from 18 to 75+, ensuring fair competition and recognition across all levels.

HOW ARE THE AGE GROUPS CONFIGURED?

Age groups are configured in brackets (18–24, 25–29, 30–34, and so on for Solo divisions for doubles it goes in 10 year brackets example 30-39,40-49 to ensure fair competition.

CAN I START AS AN ADAPTIVE ATHLETE?

Yes. TRYKA welcomes adaptive athletes. Please contact us in advance so we can ensure your race experience is supported.

WHERE CAN I BUY TRYKA APPAREL?

Exclusive TRYKA apparel will be available on-site at events and online at tryka.fit soon.

WHERE DO I REGISTER FOR AN EVENT?

Register online via tryka.fit. Create an account for the best experience and to manage your tickets easily.

CAN I MAKE CHANGES TO MY TICKET ON-SITE (NAME/TIME)?

No, ticket changes must be made online prior to the event. Please ensure all personalisation details are correct before race weekend.

DO ATHLETES NEED A SPECTATOR WRISTBAND?

No, athletes do not need spectator wristbands. Your athlete wristband grants you access to the race floor and warm-up zones. Spectators need separate tickets.

SHOULD I CREATE AN ACCOUNT OR CHECKOUT AS A GUEST?

We strongly recommend creating an account so you can manage tickets, personalise them, and access future race details.

IS THERE A TRYKA RULEBOOK I CAN REFER TO?

Yes, the official TRYKA Rulebook is available on our website and will be updated before each race season.

HOW DO I PERSONALISE MY TRYKA TICKET?

Log in to your dashboard, select ‘Your Tickets,’ and fill in the required fields (name, age, estimated finish time, etc.). Save to complete.

& PREPARATION

WHAT IS THE BEST WAY TO PREPARE FOR TRYKA?

Consistent functional training, running intervals, and simulation workouts are the best preparation. TRYKA affiliate gyms provide tailored training. You can download your free 12 week training plan in your dashboard.

HOW DO I BECOME A TRYKA TRAINING CLUB?

Gyms can apply via the Affiliates section on our website to be listed as official TRYKA Training Clubs.

WHAT ARE THE DIFFERENT STATIONS WITHIN TRYKA?

The TRYKA format consists of 8 stations: SkiErg, Farmer’s Carry, Ram Thrusters, Sled Push, Sled Pull, Rower, Walking lunges, Burpee Broad Jumps — with running segments in between.

INFORMATION

WHAT IS THE CHECK-IN PROCEDURE?

Arrive early, head to the Athlete Check-In Desk, and bring your confirmation email or ID. You’ll receive wristband and timing chip.

WHAT TIME SHOULD I ARRIVE FOR MY RACE?

We recommend arriving 2 hours before your scheduled start to allow time for check-in, warm-up, and familiarisation.

SPORTOGRAF PHOTO PACKAGE – HOW DOES THAT WORK?

Our photo partner captures race moments and provides a personal gallery link sent by email after the event.

CAN I SPECIFY MY HEAT TIME?

No, heat allocations are based on estimated finishing time and logistics.

HOW IS MY RACE TIME MEASURED?

All races are chip-timed for accuracy. Your time starts when you cross the start line and stops when you cross the finish.

WHAT IF I AM THE SLOWEST IN MY HEAT? IS THERE A TIME LIMIT TO COMPLETE IT?

TRYKA is inclusive — there’s no cut-off time. Every athlete finishes their race.

IS THERE AN ATHLETE BRIEFING ON-SITE?

Yes, a mandatory pre-heat briefing covers rules and safety.

BAG DROP, CHANGING ROOMS, SHOWERS?

Yes, secure bag drop are provided, changing rooms and shower availability varies by venue.

ARE SPECTATORS ALLOWED?

Yes, spectator tickets are available for purchase online and at the venue.

CAN I WEAR HEADPHONES?

No, headphones or earbuds are not permitted. Unless for medical reasons.

CAN I CARRY WATER OR ENERGY GELS WITH ME AS I RACE?

Hydration stations are available, No bottles are allowed on the course, but small gels may be carried if not disruptive.

ARE ANIMALS ALLOWED AT THE EVENT?

No animals are permitted, except for registered service animals.

ARE THERE WINNERS PRIZES?

Yes, Podium finishers will receive one of our iconic Medals once all 5 are collected form the TRYKA trophy logo, and a finisher patch for all athletes.
There is an option to buy a finisher medal online.

I AM REGISTERED BUT CANNOT PARTICIPATE, WHAT CAN I DO?

You may transfer your ticket to another athlete before race day.

WHAT IF I FALL SICK/ INJURED PRIOR TO MY RACE?

Do not compete if unwell. You can transfer your ticket to a friend if before the closing time. At the moment we cannot transfer your ticket to future events.

WHAT DO I DO IF I GET NAUSEOUS OR INJURED DURING MY RACE?

Stop immediately and alert a judge or medical team. Safety is our top priority.

WHO CONTROLS COMPLIANCE WITH THE RULES?

Head Judges and Station Judges enforce the TRYKA Rulebook.

HOW DO I QUALIFY FOR THE GRAND FINALE IN PORTUGAL IN 2026?

Every athlete who participates in our events in Season One qualify for our Grand Finale in Portugal in 2026.

WHAT ARE THE DIVISIONS AT THE GRAND FINALE IN PORTUGAL IN 2026?

Divisions will mirror our format: Open, Pro, Relay, and Age Groups.

CAN I GET A REFUND?

Tickets are non-refundable but can be transferred to another athlete via your dashboard.

HOW DO I CHANGE THE NAME ON MY TICKET?

Log into your dashboard, edit your ticket details, and save.

CAN I TRANSFER MY TICKET TO ANOTHER EVENT?

This is not possible to do.

CAN I SWAP TO ANOTHER DIVISION?

This is not something our system is set up for but, will be a feature we are looking to add soon.

WHERE CAN I PARK AT THE VENUE?

Most TRYKA venues offer on-site or nearby parking. Details are shared in the athlete email before each event.

IS PUBLIC TRANSPORT AVAILABLE TO THE VENUE?

Yes, venues are selected with access to local bus, train, or tram services in mind.

ARE HOTELS OR ACCOMMODATIONS NEARBY?

Yes, venues are selected with close location to a multitude of local hotels in mind.

WHAT’S INCLUDED WITH A SPECTATOR TICKET?

Access to the arena, stands, sponsor activations, and live screens throughout the day.

CAN KIDS ATTEND?

Yes. Children under 12 are usually free with an adult. Check specific event details.

WILL THERE BE FOOD/DRINK VENDORS AT THE VENUE?

Yes, food trucks and partner stalls are available, including healthy food and drinks.

Yes, pre-order is available during ticket registration.

Yes, sponsors host interactive activations and giveaways throughout the event venue.

RACE

WHEN WILL RACE RESULTS BE PUBLISHED?

Results will be live in real time, League points will be within 24 hours.

HOW DO I SEE MY PHOTOS AND VIDEOS?

Your gallery link will be emailed within a few days after the event.

WILL I GET A FINISHER CERTIFICATE OR DIGITAL BADGE?

Yes, all finishers get medals and can download digital certificates online.
